Starting this year, with full vigour and participation we will be venturing into this new world.
Let me tell you how we came to this point... many years ago when we first had children, I was determined to home school and for what every reasons that came to pass we decided against it and sent our eldest off to school in the Easter, after she was meant to start school as the house and mess and anger in the house was too much. I'm not a majorly calm person and neither are my children, which has caused us in some ways, to not home school. Which I am disappointed with, as I hate some of the schooling issues like having to justify taking holidays in term and various others which we don't need to go into now. But as much as I am not planning to go back to homeschooling, if my children were unhappy or hated going I wouldn't think twice about taking them out of mainstream if that's what they wanted, but I do miss the simplicity and ease of life that homeschooling provides. I think this also goes hand in hand with the mess and the huge amount of stuff we seem to have collected in our 10 years of married life. i come from a messy family and hoard (a bit) but having read some interesting though provoking books recently about said stuff and the way of life it makes, ie a messy and very untidy one!
I am determined to ditch the clutter and therefore have more time, less stuff and more family fun time in which to breed relaxed and happy children that don't need or want huge abouts of marketed crap and less TV!
all of which can only be a good thing!
So I hope you will join me and I hope that I can show you how one self committed hoarder and messy cow can turn herself around and make the life she really wants!
